Sugar and spice and all things nice. Does this sound like you or something you believe in? At the very least, does it sound like something you like to convey when it comes to your clothes? If you answered yes to any of the questions we just asked, then you’re in luck, as we have the perfect fashion designer to introduce you to. Tell all your friends, this one is going to be big!
If you haven’t heard of V.Charm, then it’s ok, we won’t blame you or think you’re out of the fashion loop because it’s actually a brand new, well, brand. It was founded by the very talented Vanessa Liu just a few years ago – 2014 if you want to be really specific – and it just might be one of the sweetest and most beautiful brands we have ever seen.
“Fashion crossover” is the phrase the designer quotes as inspiration for her collection; she also credits all things living as inspiration too, which is more than apparent thanks to the blooming floral prints that are adorned on the majority of her pieces.
One of the best things about V.Charm (apart from the very clever and enchanting name) is the fact that it has a plethora of bold and original prints. Prints that will get you noticed. Prints that will stand out from the crowd. And best of all, prints that are guaranteed to put a smile on your face and a spring in your step.
Unlike many fashion collections that debut down the catwalks season after season, Vanessa Liu’s designs are exceedingly wearable, which means they go from catwalk to closet in just a few easy steps. No more wondering how you’re going to translate what you see before you into everyday life.
One of the standout pieces from her latest collection has to be the yellow sweet A-line mini skirt. The shape, the colours, the beautiful print and the endless accessorising possibilities make this one dreamy and highly sought after piece. And if you don’t quite fancy a mini skirt, you’re also in luck, because the very same print can be found on both a mini dress and a maxi dress. All your summer sartorial dilemmas are well and truly solved!
Don’t be fooled by all the summery pieces though – this collection is also more than capable of seeing you through the colder seasons quite nicely too. Take the black crew neck long sleeved cropped jacket for example. It is more than ideal for wearing with some of the summer clothes from the collection when you are holding onto every last inch of the summer season. It’s also great for wearing with other autumn or winter staples when you want to inject a little bit of happiness into your winter wardrobe. After all, what’s better than wearing florals in the winter and breaking the fashion rules?
We can’t wait to see what else V.Charm has up its sleeve in the next few seasons. If this current collection is everything to go by, we predict very charming and wonderful things. What is your favourite piece from the V.Charm collection?
